Biography

Christiaan Partridge is a photographer based in the United Kingdom, who has come to the profession later in life.  His photographic journey started in 2008 with a purchase of a Nikon D40X camera, and then followed with a beginners Landscape Photography course with thedigtaldawn.com.  After this, he had caught the photography bug, going on further workshops, primarily Landscape Photography, but also developing a style for wild flower Macro Photography.

Christiaan further developed his repertoire whilst studying for a Diploma of Professional Photography in 2013 via distance learning with The Blackford Centre (https://www.inst.org/).  This developed a taste for discovering portraiture, product and commercial photography.  His wider interests include soccer, cricket and vintage aircraft, all of which have now become photography subjects.

He has exhibited on three occasions at the Beyond The Image Gallery (http://beyondtheimage.gallery/), a specialist photography gallery.  His first exhibition in 2017, "Suffolk Flora: An Individual Perspective," displayed his unique macro photography images of local wild flowers.  The second and third exhibitions followed in 2019, firstly "She Sells Sea Shells," images from the East Coast of England, and "In Antiquum Urbem," which followed a trail of travel/street photography through the mediaevil Citta Antico of Genoa in Italy.

Christiaan is currently studying for a level 5 Higher National Diploma, with a view to degree concersion, with the British Association of Photography (https://www.baph.co.uk/) and that has broadened his horizons further.  His first SDN exhibtion, "Lockdown UK XX," is a photo essay of his own experiences as a parent and a family doctor of the COVID-19 restrictions in the United Kingdom, as part of the HND course.  Christiaan's street images of Genoa and Venice have recently been published in the latest Capsules Books volume "Curatorial Voume.2 Leaders in Contemporary Art" (https://capsulesbook.com/curatorial).  His photography business is also an official partner of Norfolk County Football Association.

Christiaan still currently works full-time as a Family Doctor in the United Kingdom and has a degree in Medicine (MB ChB) form the University of Dundee. He is also a qualified cricket and soccer coach.
