SDN does something unique in visual storytelling. Our photographers are not on assignment. They only tell the stories that they are passionate about. They are driven by their commitment to their subjects and they are driven by the need to use their visual skills to tell their stories without compromises. These stories need to be told as they are about real people and issues that have frequently been overlooked.

SDN is a nonprofit organization and we rely on your support to continue the work we do because subscriptions and user fees only cover a fraction of our expenses. In 2020, we created a new nonprofit under the name Reportage International, Inc. to be the parent company of both SDN and ZEKE magazine.
