Events, portraits, photojournalism, landscapes, and abstract images
Texas
I came to photography in my 30s, and have found a fascination with all the facets of the art form. I started out in landscape and travel photography when I was stationed in Germany during my military career. I picked up a little digital camera simply to document my time living abroad, but to my surprise, I discovered that I had a knack for it. I enjoyed the process of composing and editing the images of mountains, waterfalls, and castles we saw while traveling. Over the last twenty years, I’ve branched into other subjects as my understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of photo has evolved. Currently, I am employed full-time at the City of Temple and work as a freelance photographer in my free time. My portfolio is made up of events, concerts, portraits, landscapes, and abstract images. I occasionally dabble in photojournalism, documenting protests or other newsworthy topics for the Temple Daily Telegram.
