In recent history protests have been erupting all over the world surrounding the conflict in the middle east. People on both sides have been extremley passionate about their views on the war. In Colorado, this fight continues, the photographs in this exhibit focus on a "shut it down for Palestine" protest that occured on the steps of The Colorado Capitol in Denver in November 2023. The protester's goal was to cease operations at the capitol to raise awareness for Palestine. The passionate, yet mostly peaceful protest ended with an Israeli counterprotester being assaulted with his own flag and the Palestinian protester was detained following the incident.
