On Wednesday Nov 27th, 2024, TheMacy's Balloon Inflation Celebration has been held on Thanksgiving Eve since 1994.The first thing one notices is the size of the balloons which are enormous. Second, is that there is a team of color coded, red, green, yellow and blue jumpsuit wearing personnel with specific assignments that performed their duties with precision.Much labor involved, from carrying the air hoses, moving netting, to lifting sand bags and other apparatus dedicated to the task. With a press pass, I had a shoulder close interaction with the personnel, being mindful to stay out of their way as they busied themselves.
