Hollywood Boulevard: Halloween

Ave Pildas | California, United States

'Trick or Treat' - 1974

Hollywood Boulevard has always been the place to go. Visitors, regulars, the disinfranchised, working girls, and the hustlers are always in costume. On Halloween night, everyone comes together to parade on the 'Walk of Fame.' Things haven't changed much since 1974. In the last forty two years, costumes have been updated to reflect the times, but the tried and true devils, Draculas, and ghosts remain. Costume revelers (often masked) are able to act out whatever they want in good fun and in bad taste. You might not find a KKK costume today, but political and social commentary still exists and thrives during Halloween.
