The intersection has since transformed into a kind of pilgrimage site for the renewed racial justice movement in the United States, with thousands of people from around the world visiting to honor Floyd and the many others killed at the hands of police.

Tim Evans is a freelance documentary photographer based in Minneapolis, MN. He's extensively documented contemporary social, ecological, and political stories in the United States for domestic and international news outlets. Tim has earned various awards and recognition for his work, including being named the International Photography Awards Emerging Editorial/Press Photographer of the Year as well as a Lucie Awards Discovery of the Year finalist. A desire to better understand the world around him, create meaningful connections, and add nuance to the complexities of modern life guide his approach to photography.
