I am a self-taught photographer and an academic economist by profession. I was born in Italy and spent most of my adult life in the UK. I am a Progressive Street Photographer. My work has featured in a number of photography magazines such as L’Oeil de la Photographie, The Pictorial List, F-Stop Magazine, Edge of Humanity Magazine and Spectaculum Magazine,
My background in the social sciences has probably influenced my photographic interests. I love to observe how we interact with our environment and how this interaction is influenced by socio-economic factors and social norms. However, I do not only follow a documentary approach. I am drawn to the subtle poetry of unremarkable, ephemeral moments of everyday life – where the nuances of a posture, a gesture or a surrounding speak of the tension between what is universal in the human condition and the specificities of time and place”.
