Miguel is a former scientist, and an awarded portuguese photographer, filmmaker and storyteller. He focuses on traditional communities. His stories have been published in Europe, Africa, USA and Brasil. As a documentary photographer his work has been shown in solo and collective exhibitions. Recent works include a film collaboration with the Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei. Miguel is now developing a documentary about specific micro-cultures at the Amazon Rainforest. He fluently speaks English, Spanish, French, a bit of Italian, and a bit of West Africa's Creole.
