During the height of the pandemic in New York City, the streets were filled with beautiful graffiti. One Saturday morning, i stumbled upon this graff while a unhoused human was sleeping.

Katie Godowski has been documenting the social justice movements over the last two years. She wants to photograph what the news isnt talking about. From the happy moments during black live matter protests to the Iranian protests. 

Katie Godowski is a product photographer and freelance photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. She loves to photograph humans on the streets fighting for change at protests, street artists making the city colorful and families just embracing the beauty of the world. Katie has been photographing for the last 16 years and is never without a camera. Her work has been featured in dozens of articles, including New York Magazine, Yahoo News, Time Out NewYork, and B&H Optics photography contest. Her work has appeared on the Upper West Side and Midtown East for Art on the Ave, as well as in lower Manhattan for the International Center of Photography.
