La Chakra Kiwcha
Photographer: Charly Torres
Exhibit Title: La Chakra Kiwcha
This story is about the farmers of our Amazon, the Kichwas and the mestizos with the same vision, controlling the production of their products from the chakra to the manufacture of their derivatives, with an organic and biodiverse approach, valuing the ancestral knowledge. Thanks to a provincial ordinance, the chakra, a productive space located within its farms, was declared as a sustainable system that promotes the production, research and commercialization of agroecological foods in the province of Napo (Ecuador)
Kichwa Jatary or Tsatsayacu are an example of these associations that together with international cooperation, their partners improve their quality of life, contributing to the development of the territory.
