Many years before taking these photographs I'd been visiting the Rabari tribal group in Gujurat-India who live in small & remote villages outside of the town of Bhuj.Since then anthropologists have proposed that the Rabari diaspora left India & finally settled in Eastern Europe,the folk we now consider to be the Roma.Many words & musical styles have a great similarity.as do the physical look of the Roma/Rabari.Having made this correlation I decided to go to the Roma festival which happens annually in Costesti-Romania
