Biography

Andrés Vanegas Canosa or Andy VC is a lawyer with experience in both the private sector and multilateral organisations. He worked for the Latin America and Caribbean desk of the Division for Operations at UN Office on Drugs and Crime headquarters in Vienna. Prior to this he was a junior international lawyer at Microfinance Foundation BBVA in Madrid, Spain, working in the Legal Affairs Department. Andrés Vanegas Canosa holds a master’s in international and humanitarian law, and a degree in law, both gained at the University Carlos III de Madrid.
Andy VC is now a freelance photographer. He focuses on the human consequences of war and crisis in developing countries. He shows the human faces affected by the consequences of poverty, indigence and war.
