The clean up operations begin towards the end of Holi celebrations in 2010
Holi is the Hindu festival of colours celebrated with much gusto all over North India. It is an ancient festival denoting the triumph of 'good' over 'evil'.
Holi celebration begins with lighting up of bonfire on the Holi eve. Numerous legends & stories associated with Holi celebration makes the festival vibrant and perhaps the most colorful festival in the world!

I have covered this festival in Kalimpong (north Bengal, India) for the past 3 years and this essay is a collection from this venture. In Kalimpong, it is business community which celebrates this festival and it begins with a huge bonfire being lit on the eve of Holi.
