Sandals made from used car tire
The Americas is known for being the region with the most inequality in the world (as measured by the Gini coefficient) and this selection of photographs document those disparities in wealth and health. Taken throughout the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, and Argentina, this selection highlights the region's vulnerable populations and the specific challanges and resiliency of everyday survival. The selection includes women, migrants, indigenous, and children within a human rights framework that argues that all individuals and communities deserve access to their basic needs and dignity.
