For a growing number of city folks, there is nothing better than immersing yourself in nature. These enthusiastic amateur farmers grow rice – from seeding to harvesting – at what they call the Long Valley “eco paddy” in Hong Kong. The rice fields are among the few agricultural features left in the city and are popular with urban dwellers interested in traditional farming. Conservationists and farmers began working together in 2009 with government funding.
