Title:
On the Way to God--Georgian Traditions
Location:
Georgian regions, Georgia
Georgia, Kakheti, Alvani. Horseman is going on the horse-race.
Georgia is the ancient country with its ancient traditions and culture. Traditions of it were formed by different people from the different regions of Georgia. Tradition and culture was(is) the first thing which Georgian man must protect and love.
There are saint places in every part of this region and everyone wants to gift his personal donation, personal pray to god. This is a way to god, this is faith. Prayers pass a lot of kilometres (sometimes without shoes) with sheep, cows, or other cattle for their personal causes and wishes to god. Every person is lonely in his wishes on this way. Everybody want to be accordingly to this holidays.
This is ongoing project and I wanted to show you particularities of these traditions. I have decided to see and capture all specific sides of it because this is a soul of Georgia and it is changing from time to time.

I was born in 1990 in Georgia, living in Tbilisi, freelance photographer.
