John Rae

John Rae is a professional documentary photographer based in NYC. For the past 13 years he has been working in collaboration with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria on the frontlines of the world’s response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. This collaboration has taken John to over 50 countries to document programs and the dedicated people who fight the spread of AIDS. The Global Fund is the primary funder of HIV/AIDS prevention programs in the world today dispensing over $5 billion a year.

John’s work has focused on documenting the need for solutions and the programs that seek to address those needs. His photography celebrates the human condition in all it’s circumstances.
