Senegal. Dakar. Hospital Gaspard Kamara ( District sanitaire). A young boy suffering from tuberculosis (TB) covers his mouth with a piece of cloth before taking his daily standard tablet treatment. Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse (DOTs).
The photo essay is about Dakar, its surroundings and major health issues due to three killing diseases: Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The story covers also senegalese daily life, prevention campaigns and hospital treatments.
