These are pictures I took while working on two different public health research projects in West Africa: one in Ghana in 2012, and one in Cameroon in 2007. For this exhibit, I tried to select portraits that communicated the dignity of the subjects as well as my infinite respect for them. To me, this is the essence of global public health.
