The images in this exhibit were captured during Brandon M Jones's Peace Corps tour in Togo, West Africa. He was placed into the program for Girls' Education and Empowerment and worked in schools, camps and the community. Brandon used his photography to contribute to Peace Corps publications and non-profits in need of images.
He worked in his village of Dimori teaching English in the local middle school where he also coached a soccer team and ran a Girls' club to address the issues faced by the female youth of the community. He worked with the women of his village to save money by creating microfinance groups among them.
My dream is to use my skills to document living conditions and community development programs in the third world.
I am currently a professional wedding photographer and photo editor with Weddings by Two, a New York based team of photographers who work primarily in New York City and the surrounding area.
While photography has long been a hobby, I began working professionally when I incorporated that hobby into my Peace Corps service for use in publications and brochures, as well as to document the work of other volunteers in their communities.
