Cova da Moura, a Ghetto near Lisbon, Portugal, is known as a place of gangs. The majority of inhabitants are of African origin; 75% are Cape Verdean and have lived there for generations. For the past twenty years, local residents have been fighting against the poverty, drugs, and gangs in their community through various social and educational efforts. The only thing they want is to have a proper life with some dignity that is not always connected with the idea of gangs.
