Exhibit Title: Hope
Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia
This documentary series was a part of an important assignment I photographed at the Handicap International Rehabilitation Center in Cambodia.
Apart from physiotherapy and the production and repair of equipment, the centers offer patients a social follow-up. Amongst these patients, there is obviously a large number of mines victims, but the centers welcome a wide diversity of people and types of disabilities, and even offer specific services to children suffering from cerebral palsy and babies suffering from clubfoot.
First I built a good relationship between eighter the children and landmine victims. That based on communication, tolerance, confidence, empathy and trust. Hope my project raise awarness of the subject.
Today still, Cambodia remains amongst the countries more severely affected by the problem of mines and unexploded ordnance, both for the number of victims and in terms of contaminated surface. Since 1979, more than 60,000 people have either died or been wounded by these weapons, leading to 19,000 deaths and causing around 9,000 amputations.

He’s works were exhibited in Hungary and Cambodia. The latest exhibition was a charity fundraising in Wat Ketseraram held for a "Little Nun" who suffers from Down syndrome.
During the 4 days long assignment at Handicap International Cambodia Siem Reap Rehabilitation Center I maintained a strong relationship with landmine “victims” survivals and the parents for those children were born with birth defects “suffering from cerebral palsy and babies suffering from clubfoot”.
I divided my work into two parts. 1. Once I photographed the general rehabilitation of mine victims and the process of creating custom fit prosthetic limbs. 2. The second part of my documentary focusing those moments are visually undoubtedly explaining the dramatic, sometimes defenselessness situations. These people came to the center for HELP and they all know, this is the right place to get Hope and adequate support from the highly skilled staff. My social issue is focusing for the mind victims and the children were born with cerebral palsy. They couldn’t have chance to live an adequate life without the help of Handicap International Cambodia. The institution provides 100% free services for the patients.
These pictures in the gallery are part of the second project, and I HOPE will reach the right forum and get publicity. More black and white & color photos are available for publication or exhibition.
